Mangaluru, April 11: There has been another case of threat to ASHA workers in Dakshina Kannada district.

ASHA workers are given the responsibility of creating awareness, tracking the foreign returns and positive patients and also collecting health details of the people in the backdrop of COVID-19.
But there have been incidents where these workers are threatened by some people.

In a press communique, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Dr. P S Harsha said that SDPI activist Ismail (45) and Ashraf (32), both hailing from Malluru Badriya Nagar had intimidated Vasanthi, an ASHA worker of Malluru village while she was performing her official duties related to the health department.
