Officials inspect stalls selling crackers in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Nov 16: Officials of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board along with Police Health and Revenue department conducted joint inspection of stalls selling crackers on Monday.

The High Court during its order two days ago had directed the officials to conduct inspection of the stalls and ensure that only green crackers were sold.

Following this order the officials of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) along with Revenue Department and Police officials inspected the stalls as per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V.

The team comprising of KSPCB Deputy Environmental Officer Dr.Manju Rajanna along with MCC Zonal Commissioner Yashwanth, MCC Health Officer Dr.A.M Shetty, Revenue inspectors Akshath, Ravindra, Environmental Engineer Yasmeen, Kotekar Chief Officer Prabhakar and Police Sub Inspectors Gyanashekhar, Pradeep and Kalshri.
