MAHE to Host “Aati da Tulu Parba” – A Grand Celebration of Tulunadu Culture
Manipal, August 11, 2025: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will host “Aati da Tulu Parba” on August 13, 2025, at Dr. T.M.A. Pai Hall, Manipal, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The event will be a vibrant showcase of Tulunadu’s traditions, music, dance, and cuisine, offering visitors an authentic cultural experience.
Highlights of the Day:
- Tulu Rang – Drawing Competition: For students in Grades 8–10 (Junior) and PUC/Degree (Senior), with artworks inspired by Tulu heritage.
- Tulu Nalike – Folk Group Dance: Junior and Senior teams performing traditional Tulu folk dances.
- Tulu ISIRI & Fashion Show: Groups of 6–12 presenting a mix of traditional and modern Tulu attire.
- Yakshagana – Koti Chennayya: A dramatic performance of the legendary Tulu heroes.
- Aati Kuttu – Music Concert: A fusion of traditional Tulu music with rock and pop.
- Cultural Stalls: Crafts, artifacts, and authentic Tulu food available from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The festival is open to students, the local community, and international visitors. Attractive prizes will be awarded to winners in all competitions.
