Udupi, Sept 12, 2024: In a heartwarming celebration marking his 63rd ‘Janma Nakshatra’ (birthday), Shri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru, the seer of the Paryaya Peetha, shared a special moment with his childhood friends and peers, Shri Vishwapriya Tirtha Sripadaru of Adamaru Math and Shri Vidyesha Tirtha Sripadaru of Bhandarakere Math. The seer honored them with traditional rituals at the event held at the Shri Krishna Matha.

The celebration was attended by Putthige Math’s junior seer, Shri Sushreendra Tirtha Sripadaru, along with several scholars and alumni of the Shri Puthige Vidyapeetha. The event was led by the Diwan of Paryaya Math, Nagaraj Acharya, and Secretary Prasanna Acharya, who honored the guests with garlands and ceremonial offerings on behalf of the Paryaya Math.

Reflecting on his early years and expressing joy, Shri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru mentioned how blessed he felt to celebrate his birthday with his two friends and peers. He acknowledged their inspiration and guidance, saying, “We see in Shri Vishwapriya Tirtha the memory of Sri Vibhudesha Tirtharu, and in Shri Vidyesha Tirtha, the embodiment of Guru Vidyamantra. Their blessings have brought me to this moment.”

During the ceremony, Adamaru Sripadaru honored Sri Sugunendra Tirtha, saying, “Born during the auspicious time of Ganesh Chaturthi, Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru has spread the message of Dharma across the world, blessed by the Divine. May his accomplishments continue to rise.”

Shri Vidyesha Tirtha Sripadaru, while honoring Sugunendra Tirtha, recalled their childhood achievements and praised him for his organized efforts in promoting Dharma through the Suguna Vidyapeetha and the Sugunamala publication.

Shri Sushreendra Tirtha Sripadaru, added a personal touch to the celebration, praising the senior seer for his youthful energy and relentless commitment, remarking, “At 63, he moves with the vigor of a man half his age, leading by example. We are all inspired to follow the path he has illuminated for us.”

The alumni of Shri Puthige Vidyapeetha and the Matha’s staff paid special tribute to the seer, offering floral tributes and conducting a ceremonial Mangalaarati. The occasion also marked the release of two literary works authored by Shri Sugunendra Tirtha, which were unveiled by the visiting seers. Omprakash Bhat, who had compiled and edited the books, was honored for his efforts, while Vidwan B. Gopalacharya, a scholar from the Matha, hosted the event and delivered the concluding remarks.
