Holiday for Schools and PU Colleges in Dakshina Kannada on July 9

Mangaluru, July 08, 2024: In response to a severe weather warning issued by the Meteorological Department for Coastal Karnataka, the Dakshina Kannada district administration has declared a holiday for schools and PU colleges on July 9.

The Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada announced that all Anganwadis, government, aided, and private primary and high schools, as well as PU colleges (up to 12th grade) in the district, will be closed.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for the district, leading to this precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.
