Puthige Swamijis Honored in Dharmasthala Ahead of Paryaya Peetha Ascension
Dharmasthala, Jan 11, 2024: Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru of Puthige Matha, accompanied by his disciple Sri Sushreendra Theertha Swamiji, set the stage for a momentous occasion as they were welcomed in a grand procession upon their arrival at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on Thursday evening. The Swamiji is set to ascend the Paryaya Peetha on June 18.
Upon their arrival, Swamiji sought darshan of the deity at the temple, conducted special pujas, and bestowed his blessings at the beedu (Heggade’s residence). In adherence to traditional customs, a Padapooja was performed to honor Swamiji.
Dharmadhikari D. Veerendra Heggade extended a warm reception to Swamiji and sought the blessings of Sri Manjunatha Swamy for the smooth execution of all forthcoming programs. Expressing his joy and gratitude for the unbroken bond with Swamiji spanning 40 years, Heggade specifically acknowledged the privilege of serving as the Honorary Chairman of the Paryaya Samithi. In a gesture of honor, Heggade felicitated Swamiji on behalf of Dharmasthala.
Addressing the gathering, Sri Sugunendra Theertha Sripadaru lauded Dharmasthala’s transformation into an exemplary pilgrimage center under Heggade’s leadership. He highlighted the customs, beliefs, discipline, cleanliness, efficiency, and remarkable service that make Dharmasthala a model destination.
Swamiji extended appreciation to Heggade for his outstanding service. He acknowledged and congratulated Harshendra Kumar for his commendable service.
The blessings of Pujya Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji were extended to D Veerendra Heggade, Hemavathi V Heggade, D Harshendra Kumar, and Supriya Harshendra Kumar, adding a touch of grace to the auspicious occasion.
