MAHE to Host 4th National Conference on Youth in Social Change
Manipal, September 15, 2023: MAHE, Manipal, is set to host the 4th National Conference on Youth in Social Change, a pivotal event for budding change-makers.
Taking place against the backdrop of scenic Manipal, Karnataka on September 16th and 17th, 2023, this conference operates under the distinguished theme of “Youth Catalysts for Global Impact: Unleashing the Power of SDGs,” aligning with the goals of the G20’s Youth 20 (Y20 event). The primary aim is to bring together young leaders, advocates of social change, and those passionate about global issues.
The conference kicks off on September 16th with a capacity-building workshop tailored for NGOs and community-based clubs in the region. Participants will gain insights into leveraging local resources and mastering online fundraising through crowdfunding platforms for community causes.
Concurrently, the Manipal Seva Mela, a lively exhibition showcasing opportunities from various NGOs, will take place from 2 pm to 6 pm. This event, open to the public, offers a unique platform for the community to engage with organizations like Milaap, CRY, Teach for India, Bhumi, Robinhood Army, and more, dedicated to driving social change. The Manipal Seva Mela will be hosted at the Interact Building, adjacent to the Tiger Circle in Manipal.
Suresh Prabhu, Former Union Minister, will be the Guest of Honor for the inaugural ceremony.
The 4th National Conference on Youth in Social Change, facilitated by the Volunteer Services Organization at MAHE, promises a platform for constructive dialogues, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking discussions. Delegates from diverse backgrounds and regions will convene, sharing invaluable insights and ideas. These discussions are poised to be a catalyst for action, equipping participants with the knowledge and strategies needed to embrace Daan Utsav, the festival of giving, occurring from October 2nd to 8th, 2023.
