Dinesh Gundu Rao Urges Officers to Deliver Government Schemes Promptly and Responsibly
Mangaluru, June 11, 2023: Minister for Health and Family Welfare and District In-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao urged officers to exhibit efficiency in their duties by faithfully responding to the aspirations of the people and effectively delivering the new government’s schemes to the masses.
Speaking at an informal meeting held at Netravati Hall in Zilla Panchayat, the minister emphasized that any indifferent attitude would not be tolerated. He expressed confidence that each officer’s determined efforts could lead to a transformative shift within their respective departments, with the government always supporting such officials.
Highlighting the implementation of numerous welfare schemes by the newly formed government, Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao stressed the importance of transparently conveying these initiatives to the public.
As the monsoon season commences, the Minister asked the district administration to ensure the prevention of any natural calamities and address potential challenges, including landslides, damage to public property, power disruptions, road damage, fallen trees, and severed road connectivity.
Officials have been instructed to facilitate the smooth flow of water on national highways and arrange tanker supplies in areas facing drinking water scarcity.
Recognizing the sensitivity of Dakshina Kannada district, Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao instructed the police to maintain peace and prevent any untoward incidents related to religion and caste. Unbiased legal measures were encouraged to address issues such as moral policing and blackmail.
Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar Jain stated that that discussions took place at a high-level meeting in Bengaluru regarding the establishment of an anti-communal wing in the city. Preparatory measures, including proactive initiatives before incidents occur, are currently underway. Steps such as increased police presence on major roads will be implemented.
