COVID-19: 32 new cases, including a bus conductor, test positive in Coastal districts
Mangaluru: Thirty-two people including a bus conductor tested positive in Coastal Karnataka on Monday. Karnataka recorded 249 new COVID cases.
Coastal Karnataka again saw a surge in the number of COVID patients on Monday with Udupi recording 14 new cases, Dakshina Kannada recording 12 and Uttara Kannada 6.
Uttara Kannada: A bus conductor who had been to Bengaluru tested positive today. He had been to Bengaluru and returned on June 13. As he developed symptoms on June 16 his samples were sent for test and today the report has declared him COVID positive.
Udupi: State bulletin states that of the 14 positives, 8 are Maharashtra returnees. Four (P-9193, 9194, 9195, 9196) are contacts of P-6843. The source of two others is yet to be known.
Dakshina Kannada: Two are from Qatar, six from Kuwait, one each from Muscat, Saudi Arabia, and Sharjah. One patient who had influenza-like illness tested positive.
