Highway Ministry responds to Nalin’s request
Mangaluru, July 23: Following a request from Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel, The Ministry of Road Transport and Highway has sanctioned Rs 7.99 crore for the periodical renewal of NH 169 (Sholapur-Mangaluru Highway- passing through Moodabidri-Karkala-SK Border).
Nalin had written a letter on October 5, 2019, requesting the periodical renewal for the year 2019-20 of the NH.
“I have got the matter examined and I would like to inform you that the periodical renewal from (new chainage KM 175.630 to 180.130, KM 187.70 to 200.59 and KM 205.93 to 213.20 of NH 169, Shimoga Mangaluru Section) under EPC mode in the state of Karnataka amount to Rs 799.22 lakh is sanctioned on March 16 and tendering is in process,” Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari stated in a letter to Nalin Kumar Kateel.
