Mangaluru, July 30: Dakshina Kannada district recorded 198 cases and 8 deaths on Thursday.
Of the total 5,509 cases, the district has 2,800 active cases. On Thursday 105 were discharged. The total discharges have increased to 2,561.

5. 75-year-old person from Mysuru died on July 29.
6. 64-year-old person from Puttur died on July 29.
7. 52-year-old person from Mangaluru died on July 29.
8. 87-year-old woman from Mangaluru died on July 29.
The eight patients had various health ailments and tested COVID positive.
