Bharat Bandh: SDPI stages protest in Mangaluru
Mangaluru, Sept 27, 2021: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) staged a Rasta Roko at Mangaluru today.
The protest was in support of Bharat Bandh called by Samyukt Kisan Morcha on Monday.
District president Athavulla Jokatte who addressed the protestors strongly condemned the anti-people stand of the central government.
“Farmers have lost lives because of the confused, anti-people stand of the central government. The curse of farmers will result in the collapse of this government,” he warned.
Mangaluru Constituency Committee member Ashraf KC Road alleged that the government displayed its fascist thoughts by not reacting to the farmers who are protesting for ten months.
District secretary Anwar Sadat Bajattur, Ashraf Manchi, labor leader Khader Farangipete, and others spoke on the occasion.
Mangaluru City North president Yasin Arkula, vice president Lancy Thoras, Ullal constituency vice president Zakir Ullal, leader Sharif Pandeshwar, Corporator Munib Bengre, Jamal Jokatte, Siddik Bengre, Muzammil Nooyi, and others were present.
