Weekend Curfew withdrawn in Udupi

Udupi, Sept 10, 2021: Weekend Curfew has been withdrawn at Udupi district.

“Government had directed the districts to consider the Covid situation and decide about the weekend curfew. After meeting with the experts we have decided to withdraw weekend curfew,” Deputy Commissioner Kumar Rao said.

However, other restrictions imposed by the government including night curfew will continue.

“We request those above 18 years to take Covid vaccine and also follow Covid appropriate behavior like wearing the mask, maintaining social distancing and regular sanitization,” he said.

The DC also asked people to follow the state government’s direction of postponing the travel to Kerala.
