Group assaults a boy for accompanying Hindu girl
Mangaluru, April 02, 2021: A private bus from Mangaluru to Bengaluru was waylaid and a boy was allegedly assaulted by a group near Mahaveera Circle (Pumpwell) on Thursday night.
According to sources, Hindu organization activists received information that a Hindu girl was going to Bengaluru with a boy from another community. At 9.30 pm when the bus reached Mahaveera Circle, a group waylaid the private bus and assaulted the boy, and fled from the spot.

City Police Chief Shashi Kumar said that the boy was immediately taken to the nearby Indiana Hospital for treatment and his condition is stable and is out of danger. The girl was sent home.
“A case is registered at Kankanadi Police Station. Teams led by DCP Law and order and ACP Ranjit are into it,” the Commissioner said.
Meanwhile, sources said that three persons have been taken for questioning in connection to the case and the search is on for about ten others.
