Retired scientist dies due to drowning
Karkala, March 04, 2021: A retired ISRO scientist residing died due to drowning in Karkala yesterday.
Police said that Ratnakar S C (63) of Basavanagudi, who was residing at Sri Ramakrishna Ashram in Erlapady village of Karkala had been to Swarna River near the Ashram to have a bath at 10.40 am on Wednesday.
He accidentally drowned in the river. His body was found at 4 pm.
Karkala Police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) under CRPC section 174.
