Mangaluru, Jan 23, 2021: Mangaluru Police Chief N Shashi Kumar has requested public participation in controlling crime in the city.

Recently there were some incidents that could have affected social harmony in the region.

“We will identify those involved in these and take necessary action. Meanwhile, we also request the management committees of the religious institutions to take precautionary measures like installing CC Cameras and deputing security personnel,” the Commissioner said in a tweet.

The Commissioner asked people to text him if they have any information related to any crime or any tipoff.

“Police can’t be everywhere. But people will have information. I request them to share it with us. People can WhatsApp or message me,” the Commissioner said.

He has also mentioned the mobile number 9480802300 which the Commissioner himself will handle.
