Ujire, March 20: The path to success varies for each individual, and true achievers define their own journey, setting themselves apart from the rest, said quiz master and founder of Curiosity Knowledge Solutions, Meghavi Manjunath.

Speaking at the ‘Achievers’ Day’ event at Indraprastha Auditorium of SDM College, Ujire, on Thursday, she emphasized that every success story is built on multiple attempts and failures. “Understanding the perseverance and commitment behind every achiever’s journey makes the path to success smoother,” she noted.

She further stressed the importance of participating in extracurricular activities alongside academics. “Engaging in diverse activities provides clarity on career choices and builds self-confidence, which is essential for making a mark in any chosen field,” she said.

Highlighting the significance of balance, she added, “Success and failure must be accepted practically. Maintaining equilibrium in thought helps not just during exams but also in professional life.”

Reflecting on her own journey, she spoke about the challenges of establishing a career in quizzing. “Earlier, quiz hosting was seen as a hobby rather than a profession. Becoming a quiz master came with its own set of challenges, but overcoming them helped me advance in this field,” she shared.

The event’s chief guest, Shraddha Amit, Director of Kshemavana, Bengaluru, encouraged students to cultivate creative and health-oriented hobbies that also offer career opportunities. “Student life should be a phase of personality development,” she advised.

SDM College Principal, Prof. Vishwanath P, who presided over the event, emphasized the institution’s commitment to preparing students for global competition by enhancing their academic capabilities and skills.

During the program, students who excelled in various academic and cultural competitions were felicitated.

The event began with a welcome address by Sudesh Gowda, a third-year BCA student representative, while Shravan Kumar, a second-year MCJ student, delivered the vote of thanks. The program was anchored by Sinchana Kalluraya and Dharitri Bhide. Several student representatives, including Prakruti, Megha, Maruti Bhagavan, and Ameer, were present.
