 SSLC Exams: Prohibitory Orders Imposed Around Exam Centers

Mangaluru, March 20: SSLC exams will be held from March 21 to April 4, and to ensure smooth and incident-free conduct, prohibitory orders have been imposed within a 200-meter radius of all 43 exam centers under the Mangaluru Police Commissionerate. The order was issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police and Special Executive Magistrate Siddharth Goyal.

As per the order, the following restrictions will be in place in the prohibited zone:

  • No aiding malpractice: Any form of assistance for cheating, including passing notes, distributing answer sheets, or using unauthorized materials, is strictly prohibited.
  • Ban on hazardous materials: Carrying acids, explosives, or weapons in the restricted area is not allowed.
  • No signaling or unauthorized communication: Any form of signaling or activity related to exam content is completely banned.
  • Public gatherings restricted: Except for students, gathering of five or more people is prohibited within the restricted area.
  • Shops to remain closed: Photocopy shops, computer centers, and cyber cafes within 200 meters of exam centers must remain closed one hour before the exam and throughout the exam duration.
  • Electronic devices banned: Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and any form of electronic communication gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the exam centers.

The prohibitory orders will not apply to official government programs or security personnel on duty. DCP Siddharth Goyal has warned that any violation of these orders will result in strict legal action.
