This initiative was funded by Can Fin Homes Private Limited through their CSR program.

The newly renovated classrooms, built at a cost of over ₹30 lakh, were officially inaugurated by Prashant Shoshi, Deputy General Manager of Can Fin Homes Private Limited. Joining him at the ceremony were Rotary Club President Pooran Verma, Baduku Kattona Banni Seva Trust Coordinator Mohan Kumar, and members of the school’s administration.

Upgrading Learning Spaces

Speaking at the event, Shoshi highlighted the importance of providing basic infrastructure in schools to inspire students and enhance their interest in education. He emphasized, “Well-maintained and innovative classrooms not only encourage students to pursue their studies but also create a vibrant learning environment that fosters active participation. Such improvements can strengthen the trust of parents and communities in government schools, ultimately increasing enrollment.”

Mohan Kumar, coordinator of the Baduku Kattona Banni Seva Trust, lauded Can Fin Homes for their financial contribution, noting that the funds were responsibly and transparently utilized to modernize the school’s facilities. He called upon communities to join hands in safeguarding the future of rural children through initiatives like these.

Honoring Contributors

During the ceremony, Prashant Shoshi, Rotary Club President Pooran Verma, and former President Ananth Bhat Machimale were honored by the school’s administration. The felicitation was led by senior advocate and alumni association president Dhananjay Rao.

Vibrant Learning Through Art

The renovated classrooms stand out for their vibrant and colorful murals, which adorn both the interior and exterior walls. These artistic works feature science-themed visuals designed to spark curiosity and introduce students to scientific concepts. The walls now serve as not only a structural foundation but also an inspiration for students to dream big and aspire toward a brighter future.

A Community Effort

The program witnessed the participation of key figures, including Laila Panchayat Vice President Sugandhi Jagannath, school administrators, students, parents, and several Rotary Club members such as Sandesh Kumar Rao, Abubakar, Vidya Kumar Kanchodu, and Shravan.

The event began with an invocation by Bhagya, a teacher at the school, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by alumni association president Suresh Shetty. The program was anchored by teacher Usha, ensuring the event proceeded seamlessly.

This initiative is a testament to the transformative power of collective action, with the Karnodi Government School now standing as a beacon of modern education and cultural enrichment in the Belthangady region.
