Srinivas University Hosts WOMCON ’24
Mangaluru, Dec 14, 2024: Srinivas University, Institute of Physiotherapy organized National Level Physiotherapy Conference, “WOMCON ’24: Blooming Women’s Health – Emerging Trends in Physiotherapy” at Hotel saffron Srinivas today.
This event brought together experts, researchers, and practitioners to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in women’s health.
Dr A. Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor Srinivas University and President of A Shama Rao Foundation presided over the inaugural event.
The conference featured five sessions, which drew a crowd of over 100 delegates from various Colleges in and around Mangaluru. The speakers shared their valuable insights on pressing issues affecting women’s health, sparking engaging sessions.
A key highlight of the conference was the Panel discussions which highlighted various aspects related to Infertility. Scientific poster presentation competition was also arranged, which showcased innovative research and projects in women’s health. The best poster presentation was awarded with prize money, recognizing the outstanding contribution of students to the field.
Guests of Honour Vijayalakshmi R Rao, Trustee member of A Shama Rao foundation, Dr. K Satyanarayan Reddy, Vice-Chancellor Srinivas University and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Registrar (Development) Srinivas University were present.
Dr Thrishala Noronha, Dean in charge, Institute of Physiotherapy, Srinivas University delivered the welcome address. The conference briefing was given by Dr Radhika Gopal. S, Organising secretary who gave the delegates the importance and need of women’s health and rehabilitation and Dr. Aishwarya Sonwane, Organising Joint secretary delivered the vote of thanks.
