Mangaluru, Nov 16, 2024: Renowned writer Muliya Shankar Bhat has been selected as the president of the 23rd Bantwal Taluk Kannada Sahitya Sammelana.

Bhat has authored over 19 works spanning children’s literature, spirituality, and religious themes. His contributions include a book that has been incorporated into Kerala’s school curriculum. Alongside writing, he has served as a journalist and a Gamaka artist.

Bhat previously presided over the first Children’s Literature Sammelana held in Puttur in 2002 and the Vittla Hobli Kannada Sahitya Sammelana in Odiyoor in 2006. In 2021, he chaired the Taluk Gamaka Sammelana in Manchi.

Dr. M.P. Srinath, president of the District Kannada Sahitya Parishat, highlighted Bhat’s achievements, noting his recognition at prestigious events such as Alva’s Nudisiri and other platforms.
