Mangaluru, Sept 21, 2024: The Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University organized ‘Cooking Without Fire’ competition on Thursday to encourage students to explore the importance of healthy eating and the nutritional benefits of flame-free cooking.

The event, which saw enthusiastic participation from students, aimed to teach essential teamwork and culinary skills while highlighting the effort involved in preparing nutritious meals.

Participants presented a variety of creatively prepared dishes, including sandwiches, Oreo cakes, Shrikhand, Mint Mojito, Lava Cake, Chocolate Rolls, and more. Each dish was presented with artistic flair, making the event a feast for both the eyes and taste buds.

The event, spearheaded by Cultural Coordinator Dr. Pavithra Kumari and Course Coordinator Prof. Kavyashree, provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and explore new culinary interests.

Winners of the Competition
Deeksha K Shetty, Anusha, and Sanjana K (B.B.A Aviation Management) secured first place, while Sharfuddeen M A, Mohammed Sameer, and Mehran Hameed Sheikh (B.B.A Aviation and Logistics Management) claimed second place. Nireeksha, Sameeksha, and Bhavyashree B (B.B.A Aviation Management) took third.

From the Postgraduate Department, the winners were Pratheeksha Shetty, John Rodrigues, and Lanster Melroy (M.B.A Aviation Management).

The event was not just a competition but also a fun-filled learning experience for the students, who enjoyed the opportunity to experiment with cooking and present their dishes in an engaging manner.
