Udupi, Dec 18, 2023: The Tourism Department has issued a crucial announcement for individuals involved in homestays, hotels, resorts, restaurants, travel agents/ tour operators, tourist transport operators, amusement parks, and caravan tourism. All existing and prospective operators are required to register on kttf.karnatakatourism.org.
Those already operating in these sectors are required to register to ensure compliance with the regulations. Approval from the tourism department is mandatory for organizing tourist boating, various water adventures, land adventure activities, air adventure sports, and any other tourism-related events.
The Tourism Department and district administration have observed instances where activities are being conducted without the necessary approvals or registrations. A strict notice has been issued stating that any tourism activities carried out within the next 20 days without proper authorization will be deemed unauthorized. If such unauthorized activities persist, penalties under the F Act 2015 will be imposed, and appropriate legal actions will be taken.
