 Udupi Authorities Hold Crucial Meeting on Shop and Establishment Registration

Udupi, October 01, 2023: A crucial meeting took place at the District Labour Officer’s office in Rajathadri, Manipal, on Friday, focusing on the mandatory registration of shops and commercial establishments in Udupi district.

The meeting brought together presidents and secretaries of various district trade associations to discuss compliance with the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act and Rules, under the guidance of District Labor Officer Kumar BR.

Owners and businesspersons operating shops and commercial establishments within the district are required to complete the registration process as per the provisions outlined in the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act.

Those establishments that are not already registered can easily do so by visiting the designated website: https://www.ekarmika. karnataka.gov.in/ekarmika/Static/Home.aspx. Here, they can conveniently apply and register online. Failing to comply with this requirement may lead to legal consequences, as per the stipulated rules.

For additional information, individuals can reach out to the respective Taluk Inspector’s offices at 1st and 2nd circles in Udupi, Kundapur Circle, and Karkala Circles.
