Institute of Aviation Studies Hosts Mehendi Contest
Mangaluru, September 22, 2023: In a splendid showcase of cultural heritage and artistic prowess, the Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University recently hosted a spirited Mehendi Competition for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The event was held on September 14, 2023, within the Hampankatta campus.
The competition saw students hailing from diverse institutional backgrounds converging to display their expertise in crafting intricate Mehendi designs. A panel of esteemed judges, comprising experienced artists and revered faculty members, faced the challenging task of singling out winners based on the criteria of precision and creativity.
This delightful competition served as a platform for cultural exchange and unity, effectively bridging the gaps among the participating students. The winners of this spirited competition were celebrated for their remarkable talents.
Taking the top honors were Afra Fathima (II Year B.B.A Aviation and Logistics Management) and Anupama (I Year B.B.A Aviation Management). The second-place laurels were clinched by Fathimath Faiza (I Year B.B.A Aviation Travel and Tourism Management) and Gopika Subash (II Year B.B.A Aviation and Logistics Management). The third spot was secured by Thaha Sheikh (I Year B.B.A Aviation and Logistics Management) and Anusree (II Year B.B.A Aviation and Logistics Management) among the undergraduate participants.
In the postgraduate category, the champions were Pratheeksha S. Shetty (I Year M.B.A Aviation Management) and Varsha (I Year M.B.A Aviation Management), while the runners-up spot was earned by Lanster Melroy (I Year M.B.A Aviation Management) and D’Souza Harriet Hiren (I Year M.B.A Aviation Management).
