Mangaluru, June 22, 2023: The grand opening of the two-day national-level technical, cultural, and sports festival, “Tech Yuva – 23” was held on June 22. The event is organized by the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Srinivas University, Mukka.

The inaugural session marked the beginning of an exciting extravaganza.

Ratnakar S. Bhat, the Chief Operating Officer of Karnataka Micro Electronic Design Pvt. Ltd and a member of the technical department at Texas Instruments and Kilby Lab, USA, was the Chief Guest.

In his address, he emphasized the importance of practical training for students, highlighting Srinivas College as a place that offers such valuable educational opportunities. He emphasized that every student should have access to this kind of education to foster their personal development.

Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Pro-Chancellor of Srinivas University, stressed the significance of healthy competition in education. He encouraged the youth to embrace technological learning and innovation, asserting that it would pave the way for a better future.

Presiding over the program was Dr. C. A. Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor of Srinivas University. Dr. Rao emphasized the value of skill-based education as the foundation for future development.

An exciting highlight of the event was the launch of a new website for the college, skillfully crafted by second-year engineering students. The audience applauded this achievement, recognizing the students’ dedication and talent.

Dr. Anil Kumar, Registrar of Srinivas University, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Development Registrar, Dr. Sushma Kesari, Head of the Digitization Department of Srinivas University, Prof. Netravati P. S., Associate Dean of Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Prof. K. Srinath Rao, the organizer of the Tech Yuva Program, Roshan Rakesh Nair, Student Coordinator for Tech Yuva-23, and Vaishnavi Shanai were present. Dr. Thomas Pinto, Dean of Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology welcomed the gathering, Prof. Shweta Pai delivered the vote of thanks. The program was compared by student Sreeja Shetty.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from college students, lecturers, and contestants from various engineering colleges. Approximately 1,400 engineering students are actively engaged in diverse competitions scheduled during the two-day Tech Yuva 23 program.
