Pedaling Towards a Greener Future: Karwar Celebrates World Bicycle Day
Karwar, June 4, 2023: In a remarkable display of commitment to environmental sustainability, the Head Quarters Karnataka Naval Area and Karwar Bicycle Club came together to commemorate World Bicycle Day. This joint initiative, held on June 4, was part of the Indian Navy’s efforts to promote World Environment Day 2023.
The picturesque coastal town of Karwar witnessed an inspiring bicycle rally, with approximately 200 cyclists pedaling their way through a scenic 30-kilometer route. Rear Admiral DK Goswami, Admiral Superintendent Yard (Karwar), Naval Ship Repair Yard (Karwar), flagged off the event.
As the participants set off on their two-wheeled journey, the air filled with enthusiasm and a shared commitment to a greener future.
