Bhagwan Mahaveera Jayanti on April 4
Mangaluru, April 03, 2023: District Administration, DK Zilla Panchayat, and the Department of Kannada and Culture will organize Bhagwan Mahaveer Jayanti on Tuesday, April 4 at 10.30 am at Tulu Bhavan, Urvastore.
The event will be held at the office of the Assistant Director of Kannada and Culture Department.
Due to the implementation of the model code of conduct, the celebration will be conducted in a simple and symbolic manner, as stated in a press release by the Assistant Director of the Department of Kannada and Culture.
Bhagwan Mahaveer Jayanti marks the birth anniversary of Lord Mahaveer, the 24th and last Tirthankara of the Jain religion.
The Jayanti celebration aims to promote unity, peace, and harmony among people of all religions and communities.
