Ujire: Dr. Kumar Hegde takes reins as new Principal of SDM College
Ujire, March 31, 2023: Dr. Kumar Hegde BA has been appointed as the new Principal of SDM College in Ujire.
Dr. Hegde, who currently serves as the Head of Botany Department and the Dean of Science, will take over the reins from A Jayakumar Shetty, who retired on March 31st.
Dr. Hegde brings with him a wealth of experience, having served at SDM Ujire for an impressive 35 years. He holds a rank in M.Sc in Botany from the University of Mysore and has made significant contributions to the field of research, with his articles being published in reputed national and international journals.
In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Hegde has also served as the NSS officer and Executive Editor of ‘Manisha,’ Magazine.
Additionally, as an office bearer of JCs, he has conducted several personality development training programs.
