Manipal School of Architecture and Planning hosts ‘Avant-2023’
Manipal, March 31, 2023: Manipal School of Architecture and Planning (MSAP) hosted its annual college fest, Avant, recently.
The event, organized by the Department of Design, was a debut for the new campus of MSAP and was attended by dignitaries and officials from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).
The fest showcased the creative stage and set design done by Interior Design students and stunning thesis work by Fashion Design students through ramp walks.
The chief guest for the event, Dr. Giridhar P Kini, praised the efforts of the MSAP team in organizing such a successful event. The guest of honour, Ms. Bhargavi Vikyathi, a renowned designer and celebrity stylist, spoke about the importance of education in the field of design. Director Dr. Nandineni Rama Devi welcomed the guests and audience, and explained the event’s theme.
Joint Director Dr. Pradeep G Kini graced the stage alongside Dr. Veena Rao, the Co-ordinator of Department of Design, the chief guest and the guest of honour. The event highlighted the hard work and creativity of the students, and served as an excellent platform for them to showcase their talents.
The event was a grand success, with the audience learning about the importance of the concept behind any design, regardless of the field it belongs to.
