Udupi tightens election rules: Unauthorized banners and cutouts to be removed by March 24

Udupi, March 23, 2023: With the State Assembly General Elections 2023 drawing closer, the Udupi Municipal Council has issued an order for the removal of expired and unauthorized banners, buntings, and cutouts by March 24.

The council emphasized that it is mandatory for events to obtain a permit from the Municipal Council before installing any banners or cutouts.

Failure to obtain the necessary permit will result in the banners, buntings, and hoardings being treated as unauthorized and will be cleared, according to a press statement from the Municipal Commissioner’s office.
