Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University hosts fun-filled ‘Cooking Without Fire’ contest
Mangaluru, March 10, 2023: Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University organized ‘Cooking Without Fire’ on March 9.
The purpose of the event was to create awareness among students about the nutritional value of food cooked without fire and to emphasize the importance and benefits of healthy eating. The competition aimed to teach students teamwork, culinary skills, and the value of hard work put into cooking. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and explore new areas of interest.
Dr. Pavithra Kumari, the Cultural Coordinator, and Prof. Kavyashree Course Coordinator, Institute of Aviation Studies organized the event. The students participated enthusiastically in this fun learning package and enjoyed the day.

The students presented a range of lip-smacking dishes like sandwiches, Oreo cakes, Shrikhand, Mint Mojito, Lava Cake, Chocolate Roll, Fruit Salad, Bonda Shake, Avil Milk, Vegetable Salad, etc. They prepared the dishes in an artistic and aesthetic style, which was a treat for the eyes and tickling for the taste buds.
The competition witnessed a fierce battle, and the judges had a tough time deciding the winners. Deeksha K Shetty, Anusha, and Sanjana K (II year B.B.A Aviation Management) secured the first place, while Sharfuddeen M A, Mohammed Sameer, and Mehran Hameed Sheikh (III years B.B.A Aviation and Logistics Management) won the second place. Nireeksha, Sameeksha, and Bhavyashree B (II Year B.B.A Aviation Management) were awarded the third place.
In the P.G Department, Pratheeksha, Shetty, John Rodrigues, and Lanster Melroy (I year M.B.A Aviation Management) emerged as the winners. The event was a grand success, and the students went back home with a new-found appreciation for healthy eating and culinary skills.
