Koppa, Nov 27, 2022: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai today said that the government has released Rs 10 crore as a preventive measures to check the leaf spot disease. The money will be provided to Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, and other districts of Malnad region.

He was speaking to journalists at Hariharapura Helipad on Sunday.

“The government has sent a team from the university to conduct a study. A team of experts from the central government has already conducted the study in Chikkamagaluru. The pest spreads from one tree to another due to rain and wind. The pesticide will be sprayed to tackle the fungus. The government will follow all the recommendations made by scientists,” he assured.

Replying to a question, Bommai said the government has taken the assault on Mudigere BJP MLA M.P. Kumaraswamy seriously. The SP has been directed to probe the case from all angles.
