Vapour Absorption Mechanism installed at CAMPCO Chocolate Factory
In this system, the mechanical compression process of the vapor compression cycle is replaced by a thermal compression process
Mangaluru, Nov 16, 2022: In line with its efforts to boost Green Energy and also to save electrical costs, CAMPCO Chocolate Factory installed the third Unit of Vapour Absorption Mechanism (VAM). VAM is an absorption Refrigerator that uses a heat source to provide the energy needed for the cooling process.
The Third Unit of VAM was inaugurated today by B. Thimappa Shetty, Chairman of Coastal Development Authority in the presence of the Board of Directors of CAMPCO.
The third Unit of VAM which is set up with a Project outlay of over Rs 1 crore would go a long way in reducing the consumption of electrical energy for air conditioning of the entire Chocolate Factory. In this system, the mechanical compression process of the vapour compression cycle is replaced by a thermal compression process. This would result in savings in the consumption of electricity at the Factory.
B. Thimappa Shetty, former Director of CAMPCO was recently appointed as the Chairman of the Coastal Development Authority. He was felicitated by A.Kishore Kumar Kodgi, President, K.Shankarnarayana Bhat, Vice President, H.M.Krishna Kumar, Managing Director, and the Board of Directors.
CAMPCO Directors M.Mahesh Chowta, Radhakrishnan K, Padmaraj Pattaje, K.Balakrishna Rai, Sathyanarayana Prasad, Dr.Jayaprakash Narayana T K, Raghavendra Bhat Kedila and Shyam Prasad, AGM CCF were present.
