Adopt Ayurvedic lifestyle: Udupi DC
Udupi, Oct 23, 2022: “Ayurveda is the way to lead a healthy and happy life. It should be adopted in every house,” said Udupi DC Kurma Rao M.
He was speaking after inaugurating the National Ayurveda Day and Dhanvantari Jayanti celebration at District Ayush Hospital in Ajjarakadu. The program was organized by the Ayush Department, Bengaluru, District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, District Ayush Department Udupi, and Ayush Federation of India, Udupi Taluk.
“One should adopt Ayurvedic lifestyle. It tells us how to live a healthy life close to nature. An ailing person is provided treatment in the modern medical system. But Ayurveda tells how a person should incorporate their daily lifestyle to be healthy. There are no side effects Ayurvedic sutras should be followed in daily routine,” he said.
K Uday Kumar Shetty, Chairman, The Mysore Electrical Industries Limited, who was the chief guest said that there has been a greater awareness about the importance of Ayurveda post-Covid days. He stressed the need to inform the public about the various facilities available at the Ayush Hospital.
Coastal Development Authority Chairman Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, who presided over the function, said that Ayurveda, which has a history of thousands of years, will help people in a healthy and long life. He said the world is looking at India’s Ayurvedic system in awe.
Ayush Federation of India President Narayan Anchan was also present.
Udyavara SDM College Principal Dr. Yogesh Acharya delivered the lecture on the importance of Ayurveda. Distribution of Ayurvedic plants and health check-up were held as part of the event.
District Ayush Officer Dr. Satish Acharya welcomed the gathering. Dr. Veena Karanth delivered the vote of thanks. Sarvottam Shetty compered the program.
