Thunderstorm with lightning likely in Coastal Karnataka

Udupi, Oct 21, 2022: The coastal districts of Udupi, Uttara Kannada and Dakshina Kannada are likely to experience thunderstorm with lightning on Oct 21 and 22.
In its bulletin, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka till October 23 morning.
According to Friday morning report Southwest Monsoon is active over South Interior Karnataka and Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka & South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka. Haliyal in Uttara Kannada district recorded highest- 7 cm rain.
Next 24 hours: Thunderstorm very likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka & South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Bagalkote, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad,Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburgi, Vijayapura and Yadgir districts of North Interior Karnataka. Next 48 hours: Thunderstorm very likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Bagalkote, Belagavi, Dharwad districts of North Interior Karnataka and over Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Chikkamagaluru,Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Shivamogga and Tumkur districts of South Interior Karnataka.
