Dalhousie University delegation visits MAHE- Bengaluru
Visit aims to explore collaboration opportunities for Health Science
Manipal/ Bengaluru, Oct 19, 2022: A delegation from Dalhousie University, Canada led by Professor Deep Saini, President, and Vice-Chancellor, visited the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Bengaluru campus for exploring collaboration opportunities. The MAHE delegation was led by Lt Gen. (Dr) M. D. Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor, MAHE.
This visit aimed to foster the dialogue between the two teams on exploring collaboration opportunities for Health Science in the areas of Cancer Research, Clinical Trials, Joint Training Programs, Student and Faculty Mobility across the two universities with collaborative Online International learning, joint programs, and much more. Discussions were also held in the area of how the two universities could work on sustainable development goals, big data analytics, and innovation.
Speaking about the visit Vice-Chancellor, Lt. Gen (Dr.) M.D. Venkatesh of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal said that MAHE has a legacy of collaborating with foreign universities.
“We have partnerships with over 250 Universities across the globe. Such collaborations help in deepening the knowledge and skills of our students and faculty. We are highly optimistic about this partnership with Dalhousie University, Canada for our Bengaluru Campus. The collaboration will undoubtedly result in fruitful outcomes in the field of Health Sciences,” he said.
