Srinivas University: Institute of Physiotherapy organizes Mini Marathon
Mangaluru, Sept 07, 2022: On the occasion of the World Physiotherapy Day celebration, the Institute of Physiotherapy, Srinivas University organized an ‘Osteoarthritis awareness Mini Marathon’ on Sept 6.
The Mini Marathon covered a distance of 7 km in Mangaluru City.
Dr. Kamalakannan and Dr. Premkumar, Faculties of Physiotherapy, Srinivas University inaugurated the event. Around 80 participants including staff and students took part in this awareness marathon with the motto of spreading awareness to the general public regarding osteoarthritis and the role of physiotherapy in preventing and managing osteoarthritis.
Six stations were arranged in different areas of the city for providing water and energy drink for the runners.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Geetha Kulkarni was the chief guest at the valedictory program.
Dr.S. Rajasekar, Dean, Institute of Physiotherapy conveyed his gratitude to the Police department for their guidance in making the marathon a success.
