Udupi, Aug 06, 2022: Thieves stole gold and cash from a house in Kumbhashi in Kundapur taluk.

On July 29 Manjunath Jogi of Vinayaka Nagara went to Pandarapur and Shirdi temples with his family members. They returned home on July 5 and found that some thieves had entered the house.

The back door and kitchen doors were force opened. A gold bracelet (8 gram), rope chain (12 gram), 2 gold rings and Rs 6,000 cash were stolen from the cupboard. Rs 7,500 that was kept in a box was also thieved.

The complaint states that gold worth Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 13,500 cash were stolen.

Based on the complaint filed by Manjunath Jogi, Kundapur Police have filed a case under IPC sections 454 (Lurking house-trespass or house-breaking in order to commit offence), 457 (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence) and 380 (theft in dwelling house).
