Mangaluru, Aug 01, 2022: Due to heavy rain in Kukke Subrahmanya and nearby places, devotees have been requested to postpone their visit to the temple.

“Various places in Dakshina Kannada are experiencing heavy rain. Places like Subrahmanya, Kalmakaru, Kellamogru, Harihara, and Balugodu have recorded heavy rain. SDRF and NDRF teams have been deployed in these places,” Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister V Sunil Kumar said in a press statement.

“Devotees are requested to visit Kukke Subrahmanya once the rain recedes,” Sunil Kumar requested.

The water level in the Kumaradhara river has increased due to heavy rain in the catchment areas.

Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Dr. Rajendra KV too has issued a similar advisory asking devotees not to visit Kukke Subrahmanya temple next two days.

August 2 is Nagara Panchami. Devotees throng Kukke Subrahmanya on this day every year.
