Buses, single-axel vehicles allowed on Gerusoppa Ghat

Karwar, July 28, 2022: Uttara Kannada district administration has issued an order permitting buses and single-axel vehicles to move on National Highway 69 on Gerusoppa Ghat.

Following the landslide on the NH near Gerusoppa Ghat, vehicle movement was banned on this stretch. After the basic repair works it was opened for Light Motor Vehicles on July 22.

As the temporary restoration works were completed the Assistant Commissioner recommended opening the road for buses and single-axle vehicles.

Considering this recommendation Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan has issued an order allowing buses and single-axel vehicles to take this route.

The Heavy vehicles should continue to move on the Kumta-Sirsi route until further order.
