Ambulance accident at Shiroor toll plaza, 4 killed
Udupi, July 20, 2022: Four people were killed in an accident that took place at Shiroor toll plaza on Wednesday evening.
The CCTV footage of the accident has gone viral on the social media.
According to the preliminary report, an ambulance was taking a patient from Honnavar to a hospital in Udupi. Seven people and the driver were in the ambulance. The ambulance driver lost control when he came near the toll and hit the toll plaza counter. Those in the ambulance were thrown out and seriously injured in the accident.
Four people in the ambulance- Gajanana, Manjunatha, Lokesh and Jyothi died in the incident and about four were injured. They are under treatment at the hospital.
Byndoor police have registered a case.
