Special session on ‘Reading Vachanas’ by Prof Rajendra Chenni
Udupi, May 04, 2022: Well-known writer Prof Rajendra Chenni will deliver a special talk on ‘Reading Vachanas’ at Planetarium Building, Manipal on May 5.
The program is organized by Gandhian Centre for Philosophical Arts and Sciences (GCPAS) of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The lecture is at 3.00 pm, Prof. Varadesh Hiregange, Head, Gandhian Centre for Philosophical Arts and Sciences said in a press statement.
Prof Rajendra Chenni is a well-known writer and culture critic who worked as the chairperson of the department of PG studies in English, Kuvempu University, Shivamogga. Author of several books of criticism and other creative literature, he has also been a recipient of several awards, including the Karnataka State Sahitya Academy Award. He is currently the Director of Manasa Centre for Cultural Studies Shivamogga.
