Dharmasthala, April 27, 2022: The 50th Free Mass Marriage was held at Amritavarshini Auditorium in Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on Wednesday.

As many as 183 pairs entered wedlock at the ceremony led by Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade and Dr. Hemavati V Heggade.

Dr. Heggade distributed sarees and blouses to the brides and dhoti and shawls to the groom.

A grand procession was held at 5 p.m where the bride and the groom circumambulated the temple and entered the marriage hall. Dr. Heggade and guests including Minister R Ashok and Golden Start Ganesh distributed Mangalsutras.

At 6.50 a.m in the Godhuli Lagna, marriage was performed, amidst the Vedic chant. The ceremony was held as per the tradition.

The newly-wed couple then went to the temple, had darshan of the deity, and returned to their village after receiving the wedding meal at the Annapurna Bhojanalaya.
