Mangaluru: Section 144 extended till March 19

Mangaluru, March 12, 2022: City Police Chief N Shashi Kumar extended the prohibitory orders, around the educational institutions, till March 19.

Following the Hijab and Saffron shawl row, on February 13 the Commissioner had issued an order imposing Section 144 in 200 meters radius of Schools, Colleges, and educational institutions. The prohibitory orders were extended again on February 18, February 26, and March 8.

As the tension continues and as the case is still before the High Court the Commissioner has issued an order today extending Section 144 till March 19 evening.
