SDM wins first prize in Yakshagana Competition
Mangaluru, March 08, 2022: The Yakshagana team of SDM Ujire College grabbed the first prize in the Mangalore University level Inter-Collegiate Yakshagana Competition held at Surathkal.
The same team won the second prize in the recent competition held at The SDM Law College, Mangalore.
A total of 13 teams from various colleges participated in ‘Yakshyana- 2022’ – the competition organized by Govinda Das College Suratkal.
SDM College presented ‘Sudarshana Vijaya,’ prasanga, and received the first prize. Shrisha G Hegde, who had performed as ‘Sudarshana,’ won the first prize among the 132 participants.

Srinivas Ballamanja (Himmela Bhagavata), Ananda Gudigar (Chande) Shreyas Palande ( Maddale), and Aditya Holla (Chakra Tala).
Parikshit Gokhale as Devendra, Monisha K. L and Saujanya as Devendra Bala , Sudit Acharya as Shattruprasudha, Sourav and Pragya as Rakshasa, Rupesh Acharya as Vishnu, Deepa Holla as Lakshmi, Subramanya as Hasyagana. Yashwant Belthangady was the team manager, Mukesh Devadhar headed the team.
The principal and the management of the college expressed happiness over the team’s achievement.
