1.54 lakh children to be administered polio drop in Dakshina Kannada
Mangaluru, Feb 18, 2022: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K V has asked the officials to work for the success of the Pulse Polio Immunization program.
Dr. Rajendra was presiding over the meeting of the District level task force on Friday.
The immunization program will be held from Feb 27 to March 2.
“In the district, 1,54,023 children below 5 years have been identified for immunization. There will be 921 booths in addition to 29 transit booths and 5 mobile teams. All the children should be provided polio drop. The health officials should visit every house in rural areas and administer the drops for those children who did not visit the centers,” he said.
