Hijab row: Section 144 imposed around colleges in Udupi
Udupi, Feb 15, 2022: Deputy Commissioner of Udupi Kurma Rao has issued an order imposing Section 144 around the Colleges in the district.
The step has been taken as the state government has decided to reopen the PU and Degree colleges from Feb 16.
In the backdrop of hijab and saffron shawl issue, the DC has imposed Section 144 from February 16 morning to February 23 evening in the 200 mtrs radius of all colleges- PUC, Degree and Polytechnic in Udupi district.
