Swarm of bees attack students in Karwar

Karwar, Dec 28, 2021: About 20 students were injured due to bee attack in Karwar on Tuesday. The incident took place at Kinnara of Karwar Taluk.

Red Cross disaster management committee head Madhav Nayak said that the incident took place when the students of New High School were on their way to school on Tuesday morning.

“Of the 20, one is a 6-year-old boy and all others are high school students. They were immediately shifted to the Karwar Medical Sciences for treatment. Thankfully nobody is critically injured. Hospital staff and Doctors led by Director Dr. Gajanan H Nayak and District Surgeon Dr. Shivananda Kudtharkar have provided all the necessary treatment,” Madhav Nayak said.

MLA Roopali Nayak, education department officials, and other senior officials met the students.
