Krishnapura Paryaya: Chappara Muhurtha held

Udupi, Dec 22, 2021: The Chappara Muhurtha for the Krishnapura Paryaya celebration was held in the Parking area today.

Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Sripadaru of Sri Krishnapura Matha will ascend the Paryaya Peetha on January 18.

The Chappara Muhurtha is one of the events held before the Paryaya. It marks the construction of ‘Chappara,’ or the traditional Pandals for the Paryaya celebration.

Canara Bank Chief Manager Sri Rama Naika initiated the ‘Muhurtha,’ by laying the first pillar for the ‘Chappara.’

Paryaya Committee president K Sooryanarayana Upadhyaya, Secretary Vishnuprasad Padigar, PRO B V Lakshminarayana, Hore Kanike Samithi president Baikady Suprasad Shetty, Paryaya Samithi office bearers and members including U Raghavendra Rao, Ramachandra Upadhyaya, Bhaskar Rao Kidiyoor, Praveen Upadhyaya, Ramakanth Bhat, Marpalli Subrahmanya Upadhyaya were present.

Sitharam Bhat, Raghavendra Rao of Krishnapura Matha, Contractor Venkatramana Hegde, and Raviraj Alevoor were present.
